Merge in Transit

Highland handles many orders where several different orders must be combined before shipping to the end user.

If this combination is done in the same country (such as 3 suppliers all in USA), it is usually called “assembly”.  It is fairly easy to coordinate.

But often the product sourcing is global, and we must combine orders coming from various countries before sending the whole combined shipment to final destination. For example we can send orders from USA, Australia and France all to Germany via air, ocean or truck in order to combine all of them for shipment via any mode to a customer in Russia.

In many countries it is important that goods covered by one sales contract arrive together and have customs clearance at the same time under one entry.

Highland makes careful research and cost analysis for various scenarios under the “merge in transit” scheme in order to find the best cost and logistical solution.
