Agent Conferences

We participate in annual conferences of our agent networks. These one to one meetings are crucial in maintaining and always improving our partnerships overseas that enable us to provide the highest level of service and match all the offerings of multinational forwarders. IFLN Annual Conference

The International Freight Logistics Networks hosts an annual meeting that provides a forum for members to network and continue to build valuable partnerships for further growth. A member since 2003, Highland Forwarding has been a frequent attendee of this event.

Breakbulk Conferences

Highland Project Logistics is actively participating and exhibiting at annual breakbulk exhibitions in Houston and Antwerp. These are the ones where everybody who is anybody in the project and oversize business meet every year. We are proudly exhibiting and meeting new clients and vendors.

Intermodal Logistics, Munich, Germany (Intermodal Europe)

Intermodal Europe is the world’s leading exhibition and conference for companies in the container and intermodal industries and covers all areas of container transport and logistics across road, rail and sea. The annual event provides an invaluable industry forum, bringing together high-quality speakers and key exhibitors.

Highland attends events specific to the key industries, energy, mining, oil&gas, cement, construction, etc. We are a major logistics provider to many of the exhibitors and feel that we are part of their industry. Our knowledge of the business is crucial for proper handling of the logistics and we are on a never ending journey to learn more and get better every day.

Bauma

Bauma is the world’s largest trade fair for Construction, Building Material and Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles and Equipment. It is the leading platform for experts who deal with construction and building-material machines, construction vehicles, construction equipment and mining machines.

Local Events

Flag Raising Ceremonies

In June 2015, we celebrated the grand opening of our new office/warehouse complex in Londonderry, NH by hosting a major event. In our main office, we have employees who come from 16 different countries. We had just finished installing 21 flag poles and each pole is now flying a flag of each employee’s home country. We raised each flag and played all 16 national anthems. In attendance were over 100 guests, including local politicians, bankers, lawyers, builders, friends, family, and employees. We were honored to have the event headed by the Governor of New Hampshire, Maggie Hassan. A truly spectacular day and a huge recognition of each of our employees. Many tears of joy were shed; after all it is not every day that one gets to raise the flag of his or her native country while living in a new land. Our international staff is our number one competitive advantage and we do not hide this “secret”.

Basic Logistics Training

We provide regular free seminars, either on the site of our clients or at our office. The rules and regulations of our business are ever changing and it is our pleasure and privilege to help educate the local business community.

Doing Business in the USA

We have hosted seminars and tours for visiting foreign delegations from countries such as Russia and Kazakhstan who are in USA on “get to know USA way of doing business” tours. We are happy to share the story of Highland and what made us successful as well as tips on doing business in USA.

Annual Open House

Every year we will be hosting an open house as an outdoor event by our beautiful pond. This is an informal gathering of employees, friends, vendors, clients and associates to appreciate the service we all provide to each other. After all none of us could function without close ties to our local and business community.
